Zapier Quickstart

Get up and running with SkipUp and Zapier in 5 minutes.

This quickstart shows you how to connect SkipUp to Zapier and create your first automation in under 5 minutes.

A Zap that creates a SkipUp meeting request when you trigger it manually. Once it works, you can swap the trigger for any real event (form submission, CRM update, Slack message, etc.).

  1. In SkipUp, go to Settings > API Keys
  2. Click Create API Key
  3. Name it “Zapier” and select all scopes
  4. Copy the key
  1. Open the SkipUp connector on Zapier and click Accept Invite & Build a Zap
  2. For the trigger, pick any app (e.g., Schedule by Zapier > Every Day)
  3. Click the + to add an action step
  4. Search for SkipUp and select it
  5. Choose Schedule Meeting
  6. When prompted to connect, paste your API key
  7. Click Continue once the connection test passes

Fill in the required fields:

FieldValue
Organizer EmailYour email (must be a workspace member)
Participant EmailsA test email address
Meeting Purpose”Quick sync to discuss the project”

Leave everything else at defaults.

Click Test step. Zapier sends a request to SkipUp and you’ll see:

Meeting request created successfully!

Check your SkipUp dashboard — you’ll see the new meeting request. SkipUp’s AI will start coordinating with the participant via email.

Now swap the trigger for something useful:

  • Typeform — New form submission
  • HubSpot — Deal moves to “Demo Requested”
  • Google Sheets — New row added
  • Slack — New message in a channel

Map the trigger’s output fields to SkipUp’s input fields, turn on the Zap, and you’re done.
