Connecting SkipUp to Zapier
Step-by-step guide to connect your SkipUp workspace to Zapier.
Connect SkipUp to Zapier to automate meeting scheduling with 6,000+ apps. This guide walks you through creating an API key and setting up the connection.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A SkipUp workspace on a plan with API access
- A Zapier account (free or paid)
1. Create an API key in SkipUp
Section titled “1. Create an API key in SkipUp”- Go to your SkipUp workspace Settings
- Click API Keys in the sidebar
- Click Create API Key
- Name the key (e.g., “Zapier Integration”)
- Select these scopes:
meeting_requests.readmeeting_requests.writemembers.readwebhooks.readwebhooks.write
- Click Create
Your key looks like this:

Section titled “2. Add SkipUp to Zapier”SkipUp is a private connector on Zapier. You need to accept the invite before you can use it.
- Open the SkipUp connector invite link
- Click Accept Invite & Build a Zap
- You only need to do this once — after accepting, SkipUp will appear in your Zapier account
3. Enter your API key
Section titled “3. Enter your API key”In the connection dialog, paste the API key you created in step 1.
Zapier will test the connection by verifying your key has the correct permissions. If the test succeeds, you’ll see your connection listed as:

Section titled “4. Build your first Zap”Now that you’re connected, you can use SkipUp as a trigger or action in any Zap:
As a trigger — React when something happens in SkipUp:
- Meeting Scheduled — A meeting time is confirmed
- Meeting Cancelled — A meeting request is cancelled
- New Meeting Request — A new scheduling request is created
- Meeting Organizer Changed — The organizer is reassigned
- Follow-Up Sent — A follow-up email is sent to non-responders
As an action — Tell SkipUp to do something:
- Schedule Meeting — Start a new AI-powered scheduling conversation
- Cancel Meeting Request — Cancel an active request
- Reassign Meeting — Reassign a meeting to another team member
- Update Meeting Details — Update the title, purpose, or AI instructions
As a search — Look up data in SkipUp:
- Find Meeting Request — Find a specific request by ID
- Find Meeting Requests — Search by status, organizer, or date range
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”If the connection test fails, check:
- Key is correct — Make sure you copied the full key including
sk_live_ - Scopes are set — The key needs all five scopes listed in step 1
- Key is active — Check that the key hasn’t been revoked in SkipUp Settings > API Keys
